overview

Reducing plastic waste is a huge challenge when so many products come in packaging that can't be recycled. This is where the Eco-Brick comes in! March 18 is known as the Global Recycling Day. So, this Global Recycling Day, why not begin by starting the process of making your own Eco-Brick.

Eco-bricking allows us to be 100% sure our plastic doesn't get into the biosphere and therefore helping us to consider our consumption of items packaged with non-recyclable plastics. You will need to start with a small clear plastic bottle. From there fill it with other plastic packaging that is not able to be recycled (you may need to cut up your plastics to fit).

The bottle will get harder to fill as it gets to the top, but use a small pen or stick to push down the plastics inside until no more can fit. You can then use your Eco-Bricks to forms structures of their own, the more you fill the more you can make. Ensuring responsible consumption and production.
