Planet Earth Games 2026: Final Call for Further Education Colleges
January 6 , 2026
The Planet Earth Games Further Education Competition is back for 2026 — and due to high demand, the entry deadline has been extended to Friday 19 January. This is the final opportunity for colleges and sixth forms to join the UK’s leading sustainability and wellbeing challenge for education.
Now entering its fourth year, the Planet Earth Games has become a powerful platform for student-led climate action, wellbeing, and green leadership. Delivered in partnership with AoC Sport, the competition empowers students to take meaningful action on campus and in their communities, while helping colleges embed sustainability at the heart of college life.
Each year, the Planet Earth Games inspires over 25,000 sustainability and wellbeing actions across the UK. Activities range from climate action projects and biodiversity initiatives to wellbeing challenges, nature connection events, and student-designed sustainability campaigns. All challenges are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring global relevance with local impact.
From January through to Earth Day (22 April), participating colleges compete on a live national leaderboard, earning points as students complete challenges and create their own local initiatives. The result is measurable impact, increased student engagement, and visible leadership in sustainability.
Planet Earth Games also directly supports delivery of the Department for Education’s Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy by driving immediate climate action, creating long-term sustainability legacies, and developing green skills that prepare students for the future.
Entries for Planet Earth Games 2026 are now open — but time is running out.
Colleges that act now will inspire students, energise their communities, and gain national recognition as sustainability leaders.
Final entry deadline: Friday 19 January
