jogging and litter picking galore

Our brand new plogging programme launched in three areas in England on Sunday 17 December. Groups led by co-ordinators in Newham (London), Bristol and Exeter covered routes between 4 and 5k collecting litter and jogging. Each group was brillliantly led by co-ordinators Claire, Lee and Mahbubal, all trained in Leadership in Running Fitness by England Athletics. Across the three areas, participants covered  78.6k ran, picked up 23.14kg of litter, including 10.53kg of recyclables.


The events, part funded by the People's Postcode Lottery and the London Marathon Charitable Trust, will take place every third Sunday in each area at 10am. The next plogging event day is Sunday 21 January, where a new regular event at  Wembley (London) will also be launched. See our calendar to register for upcoming events.
