Bristol, 4/5 June

To celebrate World Ocean Day (8 June), British Rowing, Bristol Aquarium and Project Seagrass  have teamed up with Planet Earth Games to host the World Ocean Day Indoor Rowing 10k Challenge for workplace teams. The event will take place in the superb marine life surroundings of Bristol Aquarium on 4/5 June and will be administered by British Rowing. It is free to enter, but teams will each be challenged to row a total of 10k within one hour and raise a minimum of £1000 per team to go towards environmental causes.

It’s a chance to get fit with colleagues, enjoy team bonding and friendly competition with other workplaces and show your support for collective action for a healthy ocean and a stable climate.

The relay format features mixed teams of eight (at least two females per team). Each team has one hour and their own machine, with each rower taking five minutes each. Every team is set a minimum target of 10k for the hour to be part of the overall results. There will be a prize for the team that rows the furthest overall. There will be live results on screen with full results available at the event conclusion. Each team will be allocated an hour and can stay to watch, leave or take advantage of a 10% discount at the Bristol Aquarium Café. At least 10% of revenue will be donated to seagrass restoration projects.

Places are limited. Book now here.
